If you can say yes to any of these then why not come along to one of our members sailing days. We will take some the hassle away from sailing, we supply a club skipper, waterproofs and safety equipment, we even supply light refreshments, but you will need to bring your own lunch.

All you need to do is come along be part of the crew and enjoy the day.

We will meet at the Broadway Base for 08:30 get you kitted out and after a safety brief and a cuppa set off for for a day sail around the Solent arriving back at the base for late afternoon.

All this for only £50 pp for a day sail

More dates may be added dependant on demand or feel free to ask if you have a date that would suit you.

GRIFFIN INVITATIONAL REGATTA
Incorporating the PSUK Offshore championships
Sunday 19th to Friday 24th September 2021
The Solent

We are looking for expressions of interest from members for both crew and skipper/first mate positions. This represents a great opportunity for members to experience the thrills and spills of racing within the Solent.

All crews will compete in Beneteau 37s chartered from Fairview Sailing in Port Hamble. A number of yachts have been reserved by the regatta committee for a fixed period at an agreed price of £1699.00, which includes berthing, racing insurance, cruising chute and regatta maintenance support from Fairview.

This cost will be shared between the crew and the MPSC will be looking for a minimum of 6, maximum of 8 to take part.

The entry fee of £570 for the event will be funded by the MPSC and includes race fees and social functions on Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings

In line with Government guidance and subject to ongoing review, the MPSC is planning to reopen from the 12th April for charters (limited to family groups for overnight stays) and from the 17th May all other charters.

We are also planning to re-commence our Training programme, again in line with Government guidance, from the 17th May although some of these will be limited in attendance numbers until the planned full relaxation of restrictions on the 21st June. It has been a long time since we could offer anything to the Members so we are very pleased to be reopening the club and are looking forward to seeing as many of you out on the water and in the learning environment as soon as we practically can.

RYA Comp Crew and Day Skipper Practical:
5th July to 9th July 2021
20th to 24th September 2021
27th Sept to 1st October 2021
Please note that these courses will now be run with 3 students only in order to further improve the learning experience and allow the Instructor more time with each student.

RYA Day Skipper Theory – venue Imber Court:
14th to 18th June 2021 (limited to 5 students due to Covid restrictions)
21st to 25th June 2021

Imber Court 1-day Workshops:
We are currently working with the Instructor to re-programme these sessions and dates will be released as soon as possible.

Members Sail Days:
We are also working on a programme of Members Sail Days as these are a great way to get out on the water if you struggle to get a crew, want to brush up your skills or just want a day out sailing. We are looking to offer both a 1 day and 2 day sail and again dates for the early part of the year will soon be on the website. Finally….Work Parties!
Blue Spirit is now back in the water and will be ready for charter from the 12th April. However, due to all the restrictions, Pride is still ashore with a re-launch date of 21st April and still requires a bit of loving care and preparation before her first scheduled charter of the year. So, if you’re at a loose end or have a bit of time to spare, we would really appreciate any help you could offer on days between the 12th and 30th April. Refreshments would be provided to all willing (and pressed) volunteers.

Our next update will let you know how the boats are coming along and what we will have added, renewed or mended in the busy time before we can start chartering. Hopefully you'll be pleased by what we've got planned!
