Avon and Somerset Sailing Section's Open Event event took place on Thursday 14th September at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club.

There were 16 participants across 9 boats. 1 from Northants and 16 from Avon and Somerset.

The overall winner in his Solo was Olly Saunders from Northants.

The event consisted of 3 races.

The first 2 races of 3 laps had reasonably good winds, albeit they were on the light side but much better than had been originally predicted.

The final race saw a reduced length course as the wind eased right off, but was sufficient enough in the end for a 2 lap race.
